The AALERNHÜS hotel & spa is idyllically situated on the Eiderstedt peninsula, halfway between the "Bad" and "Dorf" districts – ideal for visiting both for shopping and leisure. The extensive gardens of the spa hotel in St. Peter Ording have their own woodland access leading directly to the dike, which is ideal for walking, jogging, dog walking or cycling. The dike, with its salt marshes and sandy beach beyond, is almost twelve kilometres long and two kilometres wide and can be easily reached on foot or by bicycle from the hotel.

By Car
From the A23 take the Tönning exit and continue on the B202 towards St. Peter-Ording.
Current Road Closures:
B5 Road Closure: June–December 2026
Between 22 June 2026 and 4 December 2026, the B5 between the A23 Heide-West junction and the B5 Hemme junction will be completely closed.
Detours have been established to ensure continued access to and from the Eiderstedt peninsula.
Complete Closure of Eiderstedter Straße from 24 August 2026
From 24 August 2026, the L33 (Eiderstedter Straße) is expected to be completely closed until 11 September 2026 between the junction with Schulstraße and the entrance to the Bad district.
During this period, properties along the affected section can only be accessed on foot. The adjacent pedestrian and cycle path is not affected by the construction work and will remain open.
Complete Closure of B202 between Friedrichstadt and Bütteleck: August–December 2026
The B202 between Friedrichstadt and Bütteleck will be completely closed from 10 August until the end of December 2026 due to road and cycle path construction works.

By Train
You can reach the AALERNHÜS hotel & spa by train via one of the two stations St. Peter-Süd (Dorf) or St. Peter-Bad. The DB runs trains to both stations from Husum about every hour. The St. Peter-Bad train station is about a 15-minute walk from the hotel.
By Plane
The nearest commercial airport to the AALERNHÜS is Hamburg Airport, which is about 147 km away. From here you can reach the hotel by car via the highway A7/A23 or by train from Hamburg central station. The St. Peter-Ording airfield is reserved for private aircraft only.
